With its eight departments and over 12,000 students, the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences is one of the leading Swiss universities of applied sciences. It was founded in 2007 from the ZHW, the HSW, the HAP and the HSSAZ and is active in teaching, further education, research and services. In addition to training and further education, the ZHAW, as a university of applied sciences, has the task of conducting practice-oriented research, promoting technology transfer to small and medium-sized companies and providing services for third parties. The knowledge newly gained through research flows back into teaching and practice and thus benefits a specific group of users or society, either directly or indirectly.

Swiss Payment Research Center (SPRC)

The Swiss Payment Research Center (SPRC) involved in the Swiss Payment Monitor is affiliated with the Institute for Marketing Management (IMM) as a separate competence center and examines branch-specific issues in a theoretically sound and practical manner. The knowledge gained from research is implemented on a project basis in cooperation with the financial industry, associations and other interest groups and is intended to support the actors in using and further developing means of payment in accordance with the needs of users.

The Swiss Payment Behavior Lab is a research platform for researching payment behavior. It examines questions in the area of ​​payment and money economics, especially with a focus on innovative means of payment, cash and individual payment behavior. Together with partners from the academy and the financial industry, it provides new knowledge for theory and practice.
